Frequently asked questions

1. Who are Rise?

   We're a discreet collective that builds and designs adult web sites for a range of clients. We don't have a central base as such, therefore our lower-than-normal overheads means we can pass these low rates on to the client.

2. How much are your web site design services?

   We offer 3 straightforward packages (basic, power, and pro), however we realise all clients are different so we're happy to offer a bespoke quote if you have something more specific in mind. All of our standard web design prices are available on the price guide page.

3. Why should I use Rise Adult Web Design?

   1. We offer excellent skills in web design, search engine optimisation (SEO), and accessibility standards.
   2. We're much cheaper that many of our competitors and offer fantastic value for money.
   3. You'll get the professional touch of a full-service agency, but you'll also get the friendly customer service and value for money of a freelancer. Simple!

4. How do I start a project with Rise?

   Simply get in touch by completing our quote form.

5. How long will it take to design my adult site?

   This depends on the size and complexity of your web site, however all work is completed as quickly as possible, and we'll keep you informed at all times.

6. What happens if I'm not 100% happy with the design?

   Within reason, we will work until you are 100% happy with the design.

7. Will I get complete design ownership and copyright?

   All rights explicitly become property of the client, once our design(s) have been fully signed-off and paid for.

8. I'm not very techno-savvy, and don't understand all this jargon... Can you help?

   Don't worry, if there's anything you are unsure about simply contact us and we will do our best to clarify.

9. I'm keen on having my site built in Flash, is this something you can do?

   Yes we can build in Flash but prefer not to. Speaking as experienced developers and designers, we believe in building web sites that are both fast-loading and accessible to as many people as possible, for these reasons we would only recommend using Flash for minor page elements such as animated banners or slideshows. 10. Can I pay monthly instead of yearly?

    We currently only accept payments on an annual basis, however this may change in the future.

11. Is VAT included in the prices that you quote?

    VAT will be added to all quoted prices at the appropriate rate at the time of order, unless quoted otherwise. This applies to both EU countries and non-EU countries, however you may be able to reclaim VAT in your own country. Further details can be found via the HM Revenue & Customs website.

12. How much will hosting and domain name after the first 12 months?

    Following the first 12 months, a simple £65 renewal fee will apply which will give you another 12 months of domain name registration and adult web hosting. Providing you're still happy with your site design, there will be no additional charges for design work. In fact you'll have the freedom to host and register your site elsewhere if you wish (though we'd prefer to keep you!)... it's totally up to you.

13. Why does adult web hosting cost more than standard hosting?

    Adult material is charged at a higher than normal rate by hosting companies, mainly due to the liability of hosting such risque content. Ultimately, it's not worth 'testing the water' with a standard host, as it will cost you more money, hassle, and time in the long-run, furthermore they can remove your site with immediate effect if they find you are using your space for adult material. Our advice is that you should always select a company that DOES allow the hosting of legal adult material, this sort of information is usually found in FAQs sections such as this!

14. What is deemed 'legal' adult content?

    Non-acceptable/illegal adult web hosting content includes, but is not limited to: child pornography; adult material containing any person under the age of 18; and content involving sex with animals. We will not tolerate any inappropriate material which falls into the above categories, and we are in full support of the Internet Watch Foundation.
